about aNZFAID

Our Mission

  • To enhance the well-being and care of those involved with autoinflammatory disease communities in Australia and New Zealand.
  • We provide a space for people to connect with each other, regardless of identity, language or beliefs.
  • We aim to support patients and carers through comprehensive and dedicated support, information and advocacy, guidance and advice.
  • We collaborate to work towards: rights, awareness, education, acceptance, research, access to diagnosis and treatment pathways, and patient advocacy.

Our original informal beginnings began over 15yrs ago with several Australian members meeting each other online on a Yahoo group.

ANZFAID is a registered Not for Profit Charity, non-government organisation founded in 2025.

ANZFAID is proud to be the only locally led and run organisation in Australia and New Zealand dedicated to the full spectrum of systemic autoinflammatory diseases and run by a dedicated group of volunteers made up of patients, carers, healthcare professionals and researchers who share our experiences and knowledge.
